Author Note

This isn't a story wrapped in perfection. It's not the kind of love where everything falls into place, where the ending is tied up neatly with a bow. Instead, it's the kind of love that feels deeply — the kind that lingers long after the moment has passed.

It's about first love — that raw, confusing, breathtaking experience we often carry with us for the rest of our lives. It's about two people learning how to love, how to hold on, and eventually, how to face the reality that not everything goes as planned.

This story contains all the elements of fictional romance — the perfect kisses, the tender embraces, and those magical moments when everything feels like it could last forever.

But behind the beauty of those moments lies a painful truth: Love isn't always everlasting, even when everything seems perfect in the moment. Sometimes, even the most beautiful courtship can fade. Sometimes, love doesn't get a fairy-tale ending.

In this story, I've chosen not to focus much on external characters like parents, friends, or other influences. That's because the heart of this story lies in the emotional journey of the two main characters. It's about their feelings—the raw, unfiltered emotions that they experience.

This is their story, and I wanted to keep it intimate, exploring their individual journeys without adding unnecessary third-party drama. The beauty of this story comes from the pure, unspoken moments between them, as they navigate love, pain, and everything in between.

It's about the moments when things feel right, and yet, there's a constant ache of knowing it might not stay. This story won't be for everyone, and that's okay. It's emotional, sometimes painful, and grounded in the truth many people live but rarely talk about. There are moments of fictional intensity and warmth, yes — but more than that, there's a reflection of what love often looks like in real life: messy, vulnerable, honest.

You can choose to read on, or you can put the book down. But remember, this isn't just fiction. It's the kind of love that so many of us experience — the kind that stays with you long after it's gone.

It's painful. It's real. And it's how love sometimes unfolds
